Born in Kamsar, Guinea, Mohamed Dho Cissé began his musical journey in his father's Ballet Douguifissa de Kamsar. At 15, he moved to Conakry to train with multiple troupes, including Ballet Oiseau Blanc and Ballet Tayely.

His talent carried him through Guinea-Bissau's National Ballet and across Senegal, where he spent ten years with Ballet Bougarabou, rising to become a master teacher. After five years with Ballet Tamala in Gambia, Mohamed founded his own company, Ballet Wassolon, in Casamance.

Today, Mohamed teaches West African drumming and dance in California, where he lives with his two daughters, and offers authentic handmade African instruments—sharing the cultural traditions he has mastered throughout his remarkable journey.
